FAQ’s

Who uses  your grave site maintenance service, and why?

Many people use Tended With Care Grave Site Maintenance Service for many different reasons. Some common examples are:

  • Seniors who are no longer able to tend to their loved ones’ graves
  • Adults whose work schedules do not allow them time to care for their family members’ graves
  • Friends and family members who live too far to visit on a regular basis
  • People who need a message or item delivered on a special day
  • Those who will be away due to illness or travel on a temporary basis, and would like their loved one to be visited during that time
  • Individuals who are uncomfortable visiting the cemetery, but find solace in knowing their loved ones are remembered

Don’t cemeteries have groundskeepers that take care of the grave sites?

Many cemeteries have groundskeepers that  provide lawn cutting. However, groundskeepers are not able to provide individual attention to each grave. We provide the detailed care that your loved one’s grave site deserves. We aim for a well manicured look.

How often do you provide care at the grave site?

As often as you would like. Some people request an annual clean-up, while others ask for daily visits.  Most people request several visits during the year. You determine the amount that fits your needs.

Can you plant flowers and water them regularly?

Yes, as long as the cemetery allows it. We follow all of their rules and regulations.

Do you remove old flowers after they wilt?

Yes, flower removal service is included in our Neat and Tidy Package.

Can you deliver a message for me?

Yes. When you order any of our services, we include your choice of a verbal message, a poem, or a grave site prayer at no extra charge. We also deliver written messages. Your written message will be kept private, in a sealed envelope.

What else do you deliver?

We deliver floral arrangements, bouquets, wreaths, grave blankets, flags, candles, cards, photos, or other items that you request.

What if our cemetery has restrictions?

We check your cemetery’s rules and regulations before we place any flowers or gifts at the site. You will be informed of any limitations that interfere with your request.

Since I can’t go to the cemetery, how do I know you perform the services I request?

We provide you with “before and after” photos. We email or text them to you, whichever you prefer. We include a personal letter to you, describing the condition of the grave site, and the services we performed.

I’m not sure of the exact location of the burial site. Can you find it for me?

We make every effort to locate your loved one’s grave. Most cemeteries maintain records that are very helpful.

I haven’t been able to visit the grave site for a long time. I don’t know if the headstone/monument is in disrepair.

We will notify you if there are any condition problems. You will also be able to view the headstone or monument in the “before and after” photos.

Can I select the day that you visit the grave?

Yes. We understand that your loved ones need to be remembered on special days, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. (If you would like us to visit on a national holiday, there will be an extra charge.)

What is grave sitting?

Some friends and family members routinely visit their loved ones’ grave sites, and spend part of the day there. Circumstances such as illness, surgery, or travel may make their routine visit temporarily impossible. With grave sitting, we visit your loved one’s grave site on the day(s) you want, for the amount of time you request.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit card payments through PayPal for secure, worry-free transactions. You may also pay with cash or  personal check.
